[Ithaca Fantastik Review] Terror 5
Ithaca Fantastik Film Festival featured a screening of Terror 5. The film is directed by Sebastian Rotstein and Federico Rotstein. Terror 5 is a horror anthology film consisting of five stories that occur in the course of one night. The film is shot in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Terror 5 stars Rafael Ferro, Berta Muñiz, Walter Cornás, Magdalena Capobianco, Edgardo Castro, Tomás Pernich, Julián Larquier Tellarini, Marcos Woinsky, Juan Barberini, Jorge Prado, Nai Awada, Javier Pedersoli, Lu Grasso, Agustín Rittano, and Paulo Soria.
Sebastian Rotstein and Federico Rotstein employ a unique somewhat unconventional story telling method in Terror 5. However, they are not so unconventional that the film can’t be enjoyed. They knew how far to take us to create a film with a certain artistic quality while staying true to the classic horror genre films. I would describe the movie as Crash meets Neon Demon with a twist of Twilight Zone.
Terror 5 combines sex, blood, violence, suspense, rage, justice, french kissing, and more all into one film.
The bottom line is how can you not love a movie that has an actor wearing Kiss makeup riding a motorcycle, zombie like monsters, snuff films, a gimp, dirty motel sex, and more in it. The film is both highly entertaining and visually stunning. My advice is to enter the world of Terror 5 and embrace the unique unconventional story telling style that will delight horror fans.
